What I'm Loving Wednesday

This week I am loving:

-The first gift Baby B got. My MIL bought this gigantic basket at a silent auction last Friday.

It has diapers, outfits, several blankets, to handmade quilts, pacifiers, a newborn kit with tiny nail clippers, shampoo and soap, and quite a few toys.

-The weather WILL get better. We were totally spoiled last week. This week it's been very blah every day. Tomorrow is a high of 68 and Sunday is a high of 85.

-I stayed in our house all by myself (with Norman) Monday night while Nate was out of town. I locked our bedroom door. But other than that, I wasn't scared. Go me!

-I just had a bacon sandwich for breakfast.

-I love bacon.

-My job. I love it.

Speaking of my job, I need to go run errands for my boss lady.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

-I got my hair done Friday. Thank goodness.

Before:
After:

-So maybe you can't tell as much as I can, but it's a huge difference.

-Nate Dawg is heading to Albuquerque today, but only until tomorrow night. I'm going to try to stay in our house by myself for the first time.

-I'll probably end up heading to my in-laws because I'm scared of everything.

-PW had her last book signing this wknd in our hometown of Pawhuska. Good times. Glad that book tour is over. On to the next!

-I hung out the whole time at the book signing with a girl that was in my KAO pledge class. She and I hadn't seen each other in almost 5 years. So that was pretty cool!

-I'm still craving bacon. And beer. But I haven't been drinking. Promise. Is my typing slurred?

-I need coffee.

Fill in the Blank Friday

It's Friday, Friday, gettin' down on Friday...
Please tell me y'all rode that wave last week. I hope Rebecca Black retired.

1.   My most prized possession is my precious pup, Norman.

2. If I could be one age for the rest of my life, I would want to be oh man. I would say 27. Let's just stop right now. I'll have a baby this year, we're celebrating our 5 year anniversary, and we're finally close to family. Let's just freeze time.

3. The best way to spend a weekend is outside! I looooove when the weather is nice and we can do yardwork, go golfing (I ride along), walk Norman, etc. Loooove it.

4. My outlook on life is that life is good times. Just go with the flow.

5. If you want to annoy me, just well...I suppose it depends on the day. Sometimes Nate tells me I can't have anymore popsicles, and that annoys me :)

6. I am completely defenseless when it comes to my husband. I melt. And sugar. I love it.

7. When dressing for the day one should put on clean underwear. You never know what will happen.

Belly Shot

Several of you have asked for a belly shot. I have nothing to post today, so I'll just go ahead and put one up. This was from Tuesday right before my appointment.

15 weeks and 3 days.

The sun is shining on my belly.

There ya go. Hopefully you aren't eating while reading this.
Happy Thursday!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

This week I am loooooving:

-The weather. Duh.

-I made a hair appointment tomorrow. Blonde, blonde, blonde. My hair is starting to look like Lacey Schwimmer from DWTS. Did anyone else see her crazy roots?

-I had my doctor's appointment yesterday. Not too shabby. I only gained 2lbs this month! I'm celebrating with red velvet ice cream.

-Kettle Brand Jalapeno chips. De-lic-ious.

-And bacon. I love me some bacon.

-I was googling pics of bacon and this one came up:

bacon briefcase. Awesome.

-I guess I'm lovin that too!

-And of course I'm lovin my handsome, hilarious husband. He makes me smile :)

Top 2 Tuesday

Top 2 Dream Rooms

1. How cool would this view by? Not sure where it's located...but a view like this from whatever room in the house (even the bathroom) is ideal.

2. The kitchen at PW's lodge.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

-I looooove this super duper freakin nice weather recently. It was 82 in Tulsa yesterday and it's supposed to be the same the next few days.

-I got to see my bff, Brandi this wknd. I got to see her daughter and her husband too. And I didn't take one dadgum picture. bff fail.

-Nate Dawg made it back from Vegas all in one piece (minus some money).

-I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I was 15 weeks on Saturday. I'm afraid to be weighed tomorrow. And the dadgum appointment isn't until 3:15, so I will have eaten several meals by then. Not cool. This is the only afternoon appointment I have.

-I'm thinkin I may take Norman on a long walk before my appointment so I can try and burn some calories before steppin on the scale.

-Either that, or I'm gonna get nekked before I step on that scale.

-Mama needs a tan. I even took a pic so you could see how pale I am.

I'll leave you with that pic to think of. haha

What I'm Loving Wednesday

This week, I am loving:

-The weather. It's niiiiiice outside.

OMG how cute is this pic??!!

-My favorite holiday is tomorrow. St. Patrick's Day! It will be the first time in many years I won't be drinking green beer. That kinda makes me sad. But it's ok. St. Patrick's Day will be celebrated somehow!

-I got my toes done yesterday, but they did not have my cajun shrimp color. Little disappointed about that, but loving that my tootsies are purty.

-I dropped our tax stuff off at the CPA yesterday. Feels good to know that's being taken care of.

-Norman got his spring hair cut. And they put a super cute bandanna with shamrocks on him.
-I'm lovin my sweet, hilarious husband. He gets home from work everyday, gives me a kiss, and rubs my belly :)
He is off to Vegas today. I am so, so jealous.

Top 2 Tuesday

Top 2...random facts about you.

1. I HATE driving next to semis.
It's scares the crap out of me. I'm always afraid that they'll change lanes and won't see me. Either that, or I think they are looking down at me from their gigantic truck and are lookin at my legs or something. Sick.
This picture makes me anxious. Very anxious.

2. I do not fart in front of my husband.
He farts in front of me, but I don't fart in front of him. We will celebrate our 5th anniversary this April, and I still don't let 'er rip in front of him. Why? Probably because girl farting grosses him out. I'm not ready to gross him out, so I don't do it.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

-Dude, when do I get to start blaming stuff on pregnancy brain? I just typed Munday. I've known how to spell the days of the week since like first grade...and I typed Munday instead of Monday. Geez Louise.

-I love this time of year, I do. But this doggone daylight saving time really screws me up. I don't know how we made it to church on time yesterday.

-Nate Dawg and I watched Little Red Riding Hood yesterday. We went to the nooner (ha). So the movie started at noon, got out at 2. It's so weird watching a movie and walking out of a dark theatre when it's still light outside.

This is not a pic from the movie I saw.

-I give the movie a B. It's was ok. The dad from Twilight is in there.

-Nate Dawg leaves for Vegas on Wednesday. He's been going opening weekend of March Madness since his bachelor party in 2006. I've been able to go a few times myself, but apparently Vegas is not an ideal location if you're pregnant. Whatev.

-I'm 14 weeks and 2 days pregnant. The scale had not gone up at all...until 2 days ago. Every time I get on there it's gone up.

-It's trash day. Guess what's goin in the trash....

-I've never really had heartburn. Even eating jalapenos straight...no heartburn. ANYTHING I eat now gives me heartburn. I mean, I felt like I could breath fire yesterday.

-Must get off couch now.

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. My biggest accomplishment in life thus far is my marriage. We will celebrate our 5 year anniversary this April. In 5 years of marriage, we have lived in:
Irving, TX (650 square foot apt.)
Keller, TX (1st house)
Thompsons Station, TN (2nd house)
Tulsa, OK (tiny apt.)
Broken Arrow, OK (3rd house)
In my personal and professional (??) opinion, the moving has been had, but it has been good for us. We had to rely on only each other at many different points in our marriage because we moved without family and friends. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? Our marriage is super strong.

2. My favorite place to sit in my house is the main couch. I just happen to be sitting there right now. My side and Nate Dawg's side recline. Norman is usually in the middle. Love it.

3. My fashion philosophy is at the moment...wear what is comfy. Right now, my belly looks like I've constantly "just eating a huge lunch". I had a really flat, muscular tummy 14 weeks ago, so the clothes I have the hug my belly don't look so great now.

4. Something every girl should have is a fan-freakin-tastic best friend.

5. If you looked in my purse right now you'd find gum, my wallet, floss, hand sanitizer, keys (most of them I'm not sure what they go to), lots of chapstick, receipts, planner, camera (that I very rarely use), lots of random papers, etc. My purse weighs a lot.

6. My favorite music right now is I am soooo diggin' Zac Brown Band and The Band Perry. I just love them.
 7. My favorite part of my body is my shoulders. I've worked hard to have a strong upper body and my shoulders have some nice cuts in them. I'll be damned if I lose that just because I'm pregnant.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

This is my first time participating!

-I'm actually loving the rain that we've been having in Oklahoma lately. Normally I wouldn't say that. But this is OOOOOOOOOOOOklahoma, where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain. That wind mixed with the droughts we tend to have here...great grass fire makin conditions. So thank you, rain!

-I'm loving this pup. He cracks me up.

-I'm loving that Lowe's is coming out tomorrow to install blinds. We have blinds on half of our windows (the ones that face neighbors). For some reason the previous owners didn't think that people across the street could see in the front/back of our house.

-I'm loving that it's Ash Wednesday. I love Ash Wednesday mass. I just love this time of year.

-I'm loving OPI Cajun Shrimp. This bright color and fingers and toes. Love it!

So What Wednesday

This week I'm saying SO WHAT if...

-at 9am I started eating cheez-its dipped in cream cheese. Reminds me of my college days in the Theta house.
-I want to go back to college.
-I'm craving alcohol. All I want is a good wheat beer. Or champagne. Or a shot of Jack. But I won't drink. Pregnant women shouldn't drink. That's just silly.

-I was at a book signing last night until 12:30. Ree told me not to come into work today. So I'm still in my pj's. It's 10am.
-I'm normally asleep by 9:30pm. Staying up until 12:30am has really messed me up.
-A week ago, I was in such a hurry to get my Oklahoma tag. I HAD to get it the last day of February because I let the whole month get away from me and I was just sure it expired in February. I get my new tag, walk out to my car, look at my TN tag, and realize that it doesn't expire until March.
-Normally I give up all sweets for Lent. This year, I feel like the baby NEEDS some sweets. Instead of all sweets, I'm just giving up chocolate. We will see how long this actually lasts.
-I'm totally blank on anything else to write.

-I may take a nap soon.

Play along, everyone is doing it. Head to Mama Dew's like NOW.

Top 2 Tuesday

Top 2 Things you've learned about relationships

1. Laugh.
Most things that you get mad about, you laugh about later anyway. Why not skip the mad part?

This just makes me laugh.

2. Always kiss me goodnight
Also, kiss me when you walk in the door and kiss me before you leave.
I don't care if you're mad, sad, glad, bad, rad, or wearing plaid...gimme a doggone kiss. It makes me happy :)

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

-This morning at 5:30, Norman started barking. Nate and I woke up, cheered him on (Yeah! Good guard dog!), then I got up to let him out to get whatever it was he was barking at. I didn't see anything. Maybe because I didn't have my glasses on, or maybe because there was nothing out there. Either way, Norman came back to bed with us until my alarm went off at 6. Both of my boys fell back asleep. I did not. Not cool.

-I watched Social Network yesterday while Nate was golfing. Then I tried to explain the whole movie to him when he got back. I liked it! Not sure if he cared for my interpretation.

-I had a dream last night about Black Swan. Mostly that someone in a tutu was "caw"ing at me. It scared me.

-My mom bought me these at Sam's last week. 40 ounces...

-The bag is currently empty. And NO I do not want to talk about it.

-Last year I complained on facebook about running out of Cadbury mini eggs. A teacher at the school said, "Why don't you just get yourself a Cadbury mini chicken and you wouldn't have this problem." Brilliant.

-My tummy is sticking out and there's nothing I can do about it. I kind of like that feeling.

Fill in the Blank Friday

1.   The phrase or punctuation I overuse most is like. Like, I mean, I use it only when I, like, can't quite get the right words out to say what I'm, like, trying to say.

2.  Today I am thankful for  my parental units. Nate Dawg went out of town Wednesday and won't be back until this evening, so of course I've become my parents' roommate. And they love it.

3.  My best friend is don't make me choose. My husband is my best BOYfriend. My bff Brandi is, my bff Brandi. Like forever friends. I also have my bff's Liv and Tara that are forever friends. The two of them are real bff's, Brandi and I are bff's, then the four of us together are totally bff's. Then I have bff's from college, ie Mallory, Erin, Katie, Caroline. Then there's my bff's from TN, Katy & Elizabeth.

Gosh, I'm really popular.

4.  A quirky thing about me is I don't sip anything, I gulp everything. I have to sleep with my sweet retainer thing because I grind my teeth, and I almost always have gum in my mouth...I have to keep myself busy somehow.

5.  This weekend I am going to spend time with my dear, sweet best BOYfriend husband. And do some jazzercise. haha

6.  Something that worries me is I'm not really worried about anything at the moment. I'm cool as a cucumber. But don't you dare talk about my dog dying because I will become an emotional wreck. He's a super fit pup, so nothing to really worry about.

7.  On my night stand you would find my phone, a lamp that I never turn on, a wedding pic of me and Nate Dawg (duh!) and Burt's Bees. Possibly a hair tie. Maybe some Kleenex.

Approximately 1 million people played along last week. You should be one of them! Go to the little things we do and jump on this bandwagon.

Top 2 Tuesday

Top 2 Things You've Learned About Money

Let me preface this by saying my husband got his degree in Finance with an emphasis in investment. Then he got his MBA and has worked since graduating from college in credit. Homeboy knows his stuff.

1. Do not live beyond your means.
If you don't have the money for it, don't buy it. Young folks tend to do this because they want the newest stuff all the time. Then it's a viscious cycle of debt and still not ever being satisfied. So....if you ain't got the money for it, don't you go buyin' it.

And don't wipe your butt with dollar bills.

2. Save for retirement.
Booooorrring! 401k's, mutual funds, blah blah blah. We have MANY different types of investments for retirement. It kinda sucks when you think about the amount of money that we are saving that we won't use for another 30+ years...BUT, the older we get, the more I know we are totally prepared. And we're super nerdy when we figure out if we keep investing a certain amount of money/month and if we retire at age 55, then we will have $1 million dollars! I'm making that up. I can't remember how much it is, but we'll be set.
