Random Thursday

1. I just looked at the stats for the 2nd time ever. Who has been looking at my blog from Slovenia? Fess up.

2. I got this glycolic/salicylic peel Monday afternoon. I look like my face is melting.

3. Nate says my face is molting. That sound better than melting.

4. The lady who did my peel said I need 20 units of Botox in my forehead. She said, "You're very expressive aren't you?" Then she told me that I have these wrinkles starting on my forehead from being expressive. She told me to furrow my brow, which I couldn't do very well. Then she seemed surprised when she said, "You don't make that face very often, do you?" No, I don't like really mad a lot. Thanks. She said I don't have any wrinkles between my eyebrows.

I'm also 26 and I don't need Botox, lady.

5. Nate Dawg and I totally don't want to do anything for NYE. We've been invited to do some stuff, but I don't wanna go. Neither does he. People make such a big deal out of it, that I feel like we should too.

6. Saw True Grit the other day with Nate Dawg's fam. Good movie. I've seen parts of the original, but I don't really remember much of it. 2 thumbs up.

7. It's supposed to be like 70 today in OK. So excited! Nate Dawg took the day off to golf.

8. Yesterday was my Papa's 82 birthday. He was born 12/29/28. My grandma was born 1/28/29. I always thought that was so cool.

9. I found this website through Skinny Runner. I love Skinny Runner. Anywho, the website does daily jokes.

The White House says President Obama plans to spend more time outside Washington, engaging with the public. Actually, it's called looking for a job.

84-year old Hugh Hefner is engaged. His 23-year old fiance nearly broke Hef's back over the weekend. She thought she was changing channels with the remote...she was actually pitching Hef back and forth in his hospital bed.

Elton John and his husband, David Furnish are the proud parents of a baby boy born on Christmas Day. Elton wrapped the infant in swaddling clothes and left him with a manager.

New York City was hit by a huge blizzard. Everything was so white the street mimes had to perform in blackface.

Actor Kelsey Grammer, who is 55, is engaged to 29-year old Kayte Walsh. Talk about robbing the cradle. I hear that after sex, Kayte claps her hands and says, "Aw done! Aw done!"

There's your laugh for the day.

St. Joseph Rules

I planted St. Joseph Wednesday October 20.

My mother-in-law swears by buring St. Joseph. They've sold quite a few houses soon after buring him in the front yard. She told me he is supposed to be upside down, facing the street. I looked online and found a few sites that said St. Joseph should also be near your For Sale sign. She gave me the St. Joseph that they've used.

The rules are listed on Snopes.

You can buy kits

I just had the statue. Hopefully St. Joseph will still do some work.

The rules say that I need to remember to dig him up when we move out of the house.

Let's hope this works!

Thankful Thursday

Here is what I am thankful for at the moment:

-Today is my Friday! Holla!

-I just found out I won a facial from this spa on facebook! I've been to the spa before and became a fan on facebook and they just told me that I won last week! Woo hoo!

-I'm so very thankful for my family. I'm looking for new Christmas stockings for Nate and myself (because of Erin) and shopping for Chistmas stuff makes me think of my family. When I think of my family, I smile.

-I'm currently typing 1 handed because Norman won't let me stop petting him. When I stop, he puts his nose under my arm and makes me pet him. I'm thankful that I have my cutie dog.

-I'm watching the "In the Spotlight" from last night where Robin Roberts came to Nashville and interviewed some country music people. They've been talking about the May floods. We were out of school for 3 days because of flooding. People lost their homes and their lives.

We did not have any damage at our house. And for that I am thankful.

-I am also thankful that Robin Roberts is showing some of their houses. I've lived here for a year and 1/2 and I have yet to see anyone famous. Maybe I can stalk these folks. So for you Robin Roberts, I am thankful. : )

Thank you Google Images for the photos.

While I was searching for a good "Thankful Thursday" image, I found this:

What are you thankful for?

Friday Ramblings

So I forgot that I was going to make Thursdays "Theta Thursdays". Crap!

I have 9 vacation/sick days to use before I leave my school. So I took the day off.

My father-in-law has been here all week cleaning out stuff, doing yardwork, etc. He's retired, so he "tinkers" in the yard. He cut down a tree, trimmed a bunch of branches on all of our trees, burned some stuff in our fire pit, bought me supper. It's been nice! Today on our list, take stuff to the dump. Good times.

He's currently taking a mid-morning nap on the couch with Norman.

I planted St. Joseph on Wednesday. By planted, I mean buried upside down, facing the road, close to our for sale sign. People believe that St. Joseph will help sell their house. My mother-in-law gave me their St. Joseph statue that they used to sell 2 of their houses. I was about to curse St. Joseph (kidding), when I got a call yesterday that we have a showing on Saturday! So I'm going to sell my house Saturday. Hopefully.

I'm getting a Pumpkin Peel Facial With After-Peel Fruit Mask that I bought for $65 on Living Social Deals. I have an appointment Saturday at 3. Everyone is building up their pumpkin facials and what not right now. With this facial, I also got a $20 gift card towards other services. So that's pretty exciting.

I just got off the phone with Wells Fargo for the 3rd time this month. We always pay every 2 weeks and pay extra on our mortgage. I called a few weeks ago to take an extra money out to have applied towards principal. Apparently they misunderstood me and took out less money. So I called 2 weeks ago about it and they said they fixed it. Today they took out even less money. Idiots. I made the girl I just talked to promise me that it's fixed.

On a lighter note, here's a pic of some wild mustangs I took at PW's ranch last week.

They thought I was there to feed them.

Jokes on them.
