Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Linking up with Carissa today.

-My boss lady is making me work from home. She doesn't want me having this baby on the highway between Broken Arrow and Pawhuska...or on the ranch.

-I should be feeling very lucky that she is having me work from home and that I don't have to drive....but I'm so bored already.

-I am loooving this mascara
They're Real! Mascara

-I love this foundation

No Foundation Foundation
Perricone MD . I don't wear much makeup, so I heart this stuff. Light AND it matches your skin tone. No matter what. or something like that.

-Something is going on with Norman. We're not sure if he's acting funny because he knows the baby is coming soon. OR because one of our stupid smoke detectors needed the battery changed. It kept beeping yesterday. I finally got a battery for it today. Nate didn't want me changing it, but I only had to get on a tiny step stool...so I did it anyway.

Norman has never been the type to just sit outside, but he was out there for a few hours yesterday and a few hours today.

He just lays there and stares at me.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Linking up with Carissa today

*We had friends from Tennessee come in this past weekend. I'm exhausted. We had so much fun and of course I didn't take any pics.

*My brother, Paul, is getting married this week. None of us are invited. And I don't blame him. He and his fiance Laura are going to Vegas to get hitched, then flying into Tulsa Thursday night. We finally get to meet the little lady. Very excited for him!

*My other brother, Joe Clay, will be flying into Tulsa August 2. He's been deployed for the past few months. yay!

*I'm ready for the 3 of us to be together again. I don't think we've been together since Christmas 2009.

*My bff Brandi will have a 1 year old this Thursday. Her daughter, Cailyn, turns 1 July 28.

Seriously, how cute is this kid?

*I had false labor for a good hour yesterday. Not cool, baby. I had this sudden urge to, uh...go to the bathroom. Brandi sent me a pic of why this was happening:

*And here's a pic of Kevin from The Office signing my baby belly

*And also one of Jason Kidd and Ray Ramano

I have to do this very quickly because I'm already running behind this morning.

*I had my shower this weekend. I didn't take many pics because I was unwrapping a ton of gifts!
This is what our living room looked like Saturday night after unloading the backseat of my car. I still have stuff in the very back of my car...I'll unload that eventually.

I did get to take a pic of me and my bff Brandi and her daughter, Cailyn.

Eventually I will take pics of all of the super cute pink stuff Baby B got. ADORABLE. I wish they made some of it in adult sizes. :)

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Oh, hey Monday. Nice to see ya again.

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!
or is it Mothers' Day? I don't know where to put the '.

*Nate got me a card for Mother's Day. Even though he said I don't meet all of the qualifications.

*Saturday, Nate smoked ribs and chicken thighs. We had his parents over to play golf (I drove the cart) and eat supper. I made PW's roasted garlic mashed potatoes. I cannot describe to you how delicious they were. I wish I would've put bacon and cheese in them. So, so good.

*I love bacon.

*We spent the rest of the weekend planting flowers, tomatoes, jalapenos, cucumbers, and herbs in the gardens. Go us.

*Raise your hand if you were up 7 times last night to pee. Oh...you mean that was just me?

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Nice to see ya again, Monday.

-I was in Tennessee this weekend. So fun! I brought my camera, but left it at my friends' house. Oops. So I took NO pics this weekend.

-Thursday I got in and took my friend, Katy, to lunch at 55 South. Then we headed to my old house to dig up St. Joseph. I could not find the guy anywhere. I wanted to dig him up while the guy who bought our house was at work, so I had my old neighbor meet me with a shovel. I dug around in that dang flowerbed for a long time and found nothing.

My concerns with this are
1. St. Joseph got up and walked away.
2. the guy who bought our house got rid of St. Joseph.
3. I didn't put St. Joseph where I thought I put St. Joseph.
I'm losing my mind.

-Yeah yeah yeah, Royal Wedding. Nate Dawg and I made April 29 popular 5 years ago.
And yes, I wasn't with my husband for our 5 year anniversary. I gave him the gift of solitude. That's how we roll.

-Friday was Special Olympics in Maury County, TN. All the kids got ribbons :)
Ree sponsored our shirts, so the back had "The Pioneer Woman" on it.

Awesomesauce.

-Saturday 3 of the greatest ladies in the entire world took me to lunch at Boxwood Bistro in Franklin. When we were getting out of the car, they started pulling out a ton of presents from the car. Our baby girl got a TON of super cute outfits, bibs, a Christmas dress, tights, shoes and I got Gigi's Cupcakes! It was a great day!

-Sunday. Oy. I woke up to storms. My flight was at 10:10, but it kept getting delayed. Awesome. So Katy and I went to Puckett's for breakfast.

The Franklin Main Street Festival was going on at the same time. It was crazy busy. We eat, and leave. I checked my flight and it was delayed until 12:20. Then a few minutes later I checked again. It was changed to 11:45. We hauled to the airport and I saw like 1 million people trying to check their luggage. I was in that line for 30 minutes. By the time I got to my gate, I had just missed the plane. So I stayed at the airport until 5. Flew into Houston. Then immediately boarded the plane for Tulsa. We had to sit on the plane for over 30 minutes due to weather. Apparently Dallas was having storms, so planes were having to go around Dallas and there was a ton of air traffic. I get into Tulsa after 10. Wait for my bag. It ended up in Denver.

I am without my suitcase, but that's totally ok because I'm with Nate Dawg and Norman.
It feels good to be home.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

-It's been raining here in Oklahoma. YAY! It does make for a dreary day BUT it's much needed. It's supposed to rain through Wednesday. We have been in such a drought that this rain is a huuuuge blessing.

-The rain did stop us from going to our Easter Sunday family celebration in Sedan, KS. We were under flash flood warning, they were under flash flood warning...so we didn't make the drive.

-After church yesterday we had breakfast with Nate's fam. Then Nate played video games/watched every sport on TV and I watched several movies.

-Today is my love's birthday! Happy 29th birthday, Nate Dawg!!!

-I leave for Tennessee Thursday morning. Tennessee, I love you and I miss you.

- I just happen to fly into St. Louis...ya know....the airport that was hit by a tornado the other day. Not sure how that's gonna go.

-Did I mention the doctor is 98% sure we are having a girl? SUCH a surprise. We assumed the baby would be a boy since Nate Dawg has NO girls on his side of the family. Bring on the pink!

-I emailed my brothers to tell them we are having a girl. Joe Clay, who's a doctor, said, "I read in my medical textbooks that little girls are made of sugar, spice, and everything nice, so you got that goin for you. And instead of a football, I will get her a pink football." My other brother, Paul, said, "Yay! It's a girl! My second favorite brand of cigar!" :) I love my brothers.

Play along, everyone is doing it! Head over to Carissa's blog!

Miscellany Monday

Hi Monday!
Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

-Nate is heading out of town tomorrow until Friday :( He's going to Colorado and New Mexico. The only positive is that his allergies probably won't be bothering him in those 2 states. Yay?

-I have a very silly doggy. A few weeks ago, my friend Tara came over. She sat on the fireplace hearth, so Norman sat next to her. Of course. Because he's too good to sit on the floor.

-We are getting excited for football season around here! This will be my first OU football season LIVING in this state since 2005. The Red/White game is this wknd! We are heading down Saturday morning and hanging out with friends all day. So excited.

-My theme song lately is, "Old gray mare she ain't what she used to be"
I can't do the things I could a few months ago and it's killing me. Nate had never heard that song, so I sang it to him several times yesterday. He asked me to stop.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Hello there, Monday.

-I hope none of y'all went to the stupid Charlie Sheen shows. Apparently he has failed terribly. They keep showing folks on the news coming out of his shows saying that they spent $500 on tickets.

-I think the people that spend that much on tickets to see Charlie Sheen are idiots.

-Saturday I met up with one of my best friends from high school, Tara. We took our pups to a dog park. It was in the 80's and super sunny. Great day for the dogs to run around and play their little hearts out.

-Tara and I walked around Cherry Street in Tulsa Saturday. We walked probably 2 miles up and down that street. We went to lunch and walked into several shops. There were tons of people out and about, so we did some people watching too.

-We went to the Drillers' game yesterday. $20 for all you can eat seats, yes please.

-It was 90 degrees and the wind was blowin like crazy. Food was flying all over the place.

-Today is a high of 57. What the heck?

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

-I got my hair done Friday. Thank goodness.

Before:
After:

-So maybe you can't tell as much as I can, but it's a huge difference.

-Nate Dawg is heading to Albuquerque today, but only until tomorrow night. I'm going to try to stay in our house by myself for the first time.

-I'll probably end up heading to my in-laws because I'm scared of everything.

-PW had her last book signing this wknd in our hometown of Pawhuska. Good times. Glad that book tour is over. On to the next!

-I hung out the whole time at the book signing with a girl that was in my KAO pledge class. She and I hadn't seen each other in almost 5 years. So that was pretty cool!

-I'm still craving bacon. And beer. But I haven't been drinking. Promise. Is my typing slurred?

-I need coffee.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

-I looooove this super duper freakin nice weather recently. It was 82 in Tulsa yesterday and it's supposed to be the same the next few days.

-I got to see my bff, Brandi this wknd. I got to see her daughter and her husband too. And I didn't take one dadgum picture. bff fail.

-Nate Dawg made it back from Vegas all in one piece (minus some money).

-I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I was 15 weeks on Saturday. I'm afraid to be weighed tomorrow. And the dadgum appointment isn't until 3:15, so I will have eaten several meals by then. Not cool. This is the only afternoon appointment I have.

-I'm thinkin I may take Norman on a long walk before my appointment so I can try and burn some calories before steppin on the scale.

-Either that, or I'm gonna get nekked before I step on that scale.

-Mama needs a tan. I even took a pic so you could see how pale I am.

I'll leave you with that pic to think of. haha

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

-Dude, when do I get to start blaming stuff on pregnancy brain? I just typed Munday. I've known how to spell the days of the week since like first grade...and I typed Munday instead of Monday. Geez Louise.

-I love this time of year, I do. But this doggone daylight saving time really screws me up. I don't know how we made it to church on time yesterday.

-Nate Dawg and I watched Little Red Riding Hood yesterday. We went to the nooner (ha). So the movie started at noon, got out at 2. It's so weird watching a movie and walking out of a dark theatre when it's still light outside.

This is not a pic from the movie I saw.

-I give the movie a B. It's was ok. The dad from Twilight is in there.

-Nate Dawg leaves for Vegas on Wednesday. He's been going opening weekend of March Madness since his bachelor party in 2006. I've been able to go a few times myself, but apparently Vegas is not an ideal location if you're pregnant. Whatev.

-I'm 14 weeks and 2 days pregnant. The scale had not gone up at all...until 2 days ago. Every time I get on there it's gone up.

-It's trash day. Guess what's goin in the trash....

-I've never really had heartburn. Even eating jalapenos straight...no heartburn. ANYTHING I eat now gives me heartburn. I mean, I felt like I could breath fire yesterday.

-Must get off couch now.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

-This morning at 5:30, Norman started barking. Nate and I woke up, cheered him on (Yeah! Good guard dog!), then I got up to let him out to get whatever it was he was barking at. I didn't see anything. Maybe because I didn't have my glasses on, or maybe because there was nothing out there. Either way, Norman came back to bed with us until my alarm went off at 6. Both of my boys fell back asleep. I did not. Not cool.

-I watched Social Network yesterday while Nate was golfing. Then I tried to explain the whole movie to him when he got back. I liked it! Not sure if he cared for my interpretation.

-I had a dream last night about Black Swan. Mostly that someone in a tutu was "caw"ing at me. It scared me.

-My mom bought me these at Sam's last week. 40 ounces...

-The bag is currently empty. And NO I do not want to talk about it.

-Last year I complained on facebook about running out of Cadbury mini eggs. A teacher at the school said, "Why don't you just get yourself a Cadbury mini chicken and you wouldn't have this problem." Brilliant.

-My tummy is sticking out and there's nothing I can do about it. I kind of like that feeling.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

It's Monday again?

-I really, really need to go get my tag today. It expires tomorrow, and it's a Tennessee tag. I kept meaning to go the past few weeks, but between snow, and then the really nice days, I just didn't want to go.

-Today is my one of my best friend's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELIZABETH! She doesn't know it yet, but she's getting a pretty sweet gift today from me and the G sisters.

-We watched Hall Pass Saturday night. So funny! It's disgusting, but hilarious!

-So, I'm pregnant. Yup. 12 weeks. Get excited. I'm due September 10. I have a little pooch at the moment and, well, I've never had a pooch before. We told our parents 2 weeks ago and just started telling friends on Saturday. It was kind of a fun secret that Nate Dawg and I were keeping. Now it's weird that we're actually saying it.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

It's been a while since I've done this. Here goes:

-Nate's grandmother died about a week and 1/2 ago. We spent much of last week in Hot Springs, Arkansas for her rosary/funeral. She had cancer for 5 years, so she is pain free now. All is well.

-We left Tulsa on our way to Hot Springs and like 30 miles later we had a flate tire. Nate's mom and I were standing on the side of the highway watching Nate and his brother change the tire. Pictures? Of course I took pictures!

-Less than 20 minutes and we were back on the road!

-I cannot believe it's almost March. March-May are my favorite months ever. Mostly because it's not too hot, not too cold. Plus I love Easter candy.

-Did someone mention Easter candy?

-1 bag is totally gone. Good thing I have 2 other bags. And I just heard that Sam's sells them in bulk. I'ma get me some.

-I "played" golf with Nate Friday. I rode around with him in the cart while he played 9 holes of speed golf. It was so nice outside and he wanted to play for a bit before it got dark.

-I cannot find golf balls. Like, when you hit it and you watch it to see where it goes. No clue. I can NEVER find it. I watch as someone hits the ball, and then I have no idea where it ends up. I've got issues.

-My cousin, Ryan (who's Native), gave me some ha-pah-shu-tse mix. That's "red corn" in Osage. Anywho, you can make fry bread, donuts, dumplings, pancakes, whateva with this stuff. It's like native Bisquik. Only better. His family makes/distributes it.

-Annnnddd here's a pic of Norman watching the ducks outside. Precious!

-OH! And my friend Mallory got engaged this wknd! Nate Dawg and I introduced her to her fiance. Don't worry, we've given ourselves a pat on the back. :)
