Fill in the Blank Friday

People always tell me I look like a teenager. The older I get, the more I appreciate that comment.

2.  Friends don't let friends hold in their frustrations. Let it out and I'll listen.

3.  A sunny day is perfect for golf, if you're my husband. I used to love laying by the pool, but I'm not sure about a bathing suit for me this summer. Maybe a long, slow walk with Norman.

4.  My favorite accessory is my handsome husband.

5.  If I could afford it I would pay someone to decorate our house.

6.  The cure for boredom is get out. go somewhere. Even if you end up just people watching, it can be pretty fun.

7.  I am currently "in like" with coffee with cinnamon, the name Maggie, and that summer is quickly approaching. :)

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Oh, hey Monday. Nice to see ya again.

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!
or is it Mothers' Day? I don't know where to put the '.

*Nate got me a card for Mother's Day. Even though he said I don't meet all of the qualifications.

*Saturday, Nate smoked ribs and chicken thighs. We had his parents over to play golf (I drove the cart) and eat supper. I made PW's roasted garlic mashed potatoes. I cannot describe to you how delicious they were. I wish I would've put bacon and cheese in them. So, so good.

*I love bacon.

*We spent the rest of the weekend planting flowers, tomatoes, jalapenos, cucumbers, and herbs in the gardens. Go us.

*Raise your hand if you were up 7 times last night to pee. Oh...you mean that was just me?

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. What I love most about my home is the guy who is still in bed right now. (my husband) I'd be happy anywhere we were as long as we're together.

2. I'm excited because,  it's the weekend and we're finally going to plant some flowers.
3. My preferred method for blowing off steam when I'm frustrated is cuss. Then tell Nate Dawg or my mom or Brandi what's going on. It generally just takes me telling it once (maybe twice) before I'm over it.
4. Currently I am craving ...I just ate some delicious Fiber One, so nothing else sounds good right now. Yesterday I was craving pasta, but I think it was because I knew we were having garlic chicken pasta for supper. And it was delicious.

5. The thing I love most about my mom is   she is very, very selfless. She volunteers like a crazy person. She doesn't sit down to eat until everyone else has their food. She's just great.

6. If I was going to write a book about my life, the title would be ooooh that's tough. Maybe, She Has No Idea What She's Doing or Good Times, Good Times.
7. If I were to eat one thing for the rest of eternity it would be  pizza. I heart pizza.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

*I'm loving that I've actually gotten to see my husband this week! Last week was a bit rough with me being out of town early Thursday morning-late Sunday night.

*I'm loving that I got to go golfing with Nate Dawg yesterday. I didn't golf, I just rode. The weather was perfect.
Golf equipment

*I'm loving that my boss lady is going to be on The Today Show today promoting her new book! Still think it's weird when I see her on TV.

*I'm loving that I got to talk to my big brother on Sunday. He's been deployed to a far away land for a few months and will be there for a while longer.

*I'm loving that I finished Something Borrowed and Belly Laughs the other day while I was stuck at the airport.

Both are great reads. Highly recommend them.

21 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 21 weeks 3 days
Size of baby: Baby is around the size of a spaghetti squash (8in, 1lb)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: up almost 7lbs now.
Maternity Clothes: maternity shorts fit!
Gender: The doctor told us today that she's 95-98% sure it's a girl. But she won't guarantee it. She won't do another ultrasound because I'm healthy and it's not needed. Whatever.
My MIL works at a hospital and there's a doctor there that will do another ultrasound for FREE. We will probably wait a few weeks before doing another one.
Movement: Lots of movement. I need to pay attention more and see if it's consistent.
Sleep: I've been sleeping ok. When I was in Tennessee this past weekend, I was so exhausted that I slept awesome. The last few nights I've been up at least 3 times to pee.
What I miss: running for long periods of time/working out hardcore, beer, and sushi.
Cravings: nothing specific this week. I still dig bacon, but I don't HAVE to have it.
Symptoms: Heartburn. Lots and lots and lots of heartburn.

And here's a close up

That's a big ol' belly!

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Nice to see ya again, Monday.

-I was in Tennessee this weekend. So fun! I brought my camera, but left it at my friends' house. Oops. So I took NO pics this weekend.

-Thursday I got in and took my friend, Katy, to lunch at 55 South. Then we headed to my old house to dig up St. Joseph. I could not find the guy anywhere. I wanted to dig him up while the guy who bought our house was at work, so I had my old neighbor meet me with a shovel. I dug around in that dang flowerbed for a long time and found nothing.

My concerns with this are
1. St. Joseph got up and walked away.
2. the guy who bought our house got rid of St. Joseph.
3. I didn't put St. Joseph where I thought I put St. Joseph.
I'm losing my mind.

-Yeah yeah yeah, Royal Wedding. Nate Dawg and I made April 29 popular 5 years ago.
And yes, I wasn't with my husband for our 5 year anniversary. I gave him the gift of solitude. That's how we roll.

-Friday was Special Olympics in Maury County, TN. All the kids got ribbons :)
Ree sponsored our shirts, so the back had "The Pioneer Woman" on it.

Awesomesauce.

-Saturday 3 of the greatest ladies in the entire world took me to lunch at Boxwood Bistro in Franklin. When we were getting out of the car, they started pulling out a ton of presents from the car. Our baby girl got a TON of super cute outfits, bibs, a Christmas dress, tights, shoes and I got Gigi's Cupcakes! It was a great day!

-Sunday. Oy. I woke up to storms. My flight was at 10:10, but it kept getting delayed. Awesome. So Katy and I went to Puckett's for breakfast.

The Franklin Main Street Festival was going on at the same time. It was crazy busy. We eat, and leave. I checked my flight and it was delayed until 12:20. Then a few minutes later I checked again. It was changed to 11:45. We hauled to the airport and I saw like 1 million people trying to check their luggage. I was in that line for 30 minutes. By the time I got to my gate, I had just missed the plane. So I stayed at the airport until 5. Flew into Houston. Then immediately boarded the plane for Tulsa. We had to sit on the plane for over 30 minutes due to weather. Apparently Dallas was having storms, so planes were having to go around Dallas and there was a ton of air traffic. I get into Tulsa after 10. Wait for my bag. It ended up in Denver.

I am without my suitcase, but that's totally ok because I'm with Nate Dawg and Norman.
It feels good to be home.
