Top 2...random facts about you.

1. I HATE driving next to semis.

It's scares the crap out of me. I'm always afraid that they'll change lanes and won't see me. Either that, or I think they are looking down at me from their gigantic truck and are lookin at my legs or something. Sick.

This picture makes me anxious. Very anxious.

2. I do not fart in front of my husband. 

He farts in front of me, but I don't fart in front of him. We will celebrate our 5th anniversary this April, and I still don't let 'er rip in front of him. Why? Probably because girl farting grosses him out. I'm not ready to gross him out, so I don't do it.

Top 2 Things you've learned about relationships

1. Laugh.

Most things that you get mad about, you laugh about later anyway. Why not skip the mad part?

This just makes me laugh.

Also, kiss me when you walk in the door and kiss me before you leave.

I don't care if you're mad, sad, glad, bad, rad, or wearing plaid...gimme a doggone kiss. It makes me happy :)

Top 2 Things You've Learned About Money

Let me preface this by saying my husband got his degree in Finance with an emphasis in investment. Then he got his MBA and has worked since graduating from college in credit. Homeboy knows his stuff.

1. Do not live beyond your means.

If you don't have the money for it, don't buy it. Young folks tend to do this because they want the newest stuff all the time. Then it's a viscious cycle of debt and still not ever being satisfied. So....if you ain't got the money for it, don't you go buyin' it.

And don't wipe your butt with dollar bills.

2. Save for retirement.

Booooorrring! 401k's, mutual funds, blah blah blah. We have MANY different types of investments for retirement. It kinda sucks when you think about the amount of money that we are saving that we won't use for another 30+ years...BUT, the older we get, the more I know we are totally prepared. And we're super nerdy when we figure out if we keep investing a certain amount of money/month and if we retire at age 55, then we will have $1 million dollars! I'm making that up. I can't remember how much it is, but we'll be set.

It's Top 2 New Years Resolutions!

I'm not good at New Years Resolution. I'll tell you why. I live a pretty healthy lifestyle. You could tell me to stop drinking, then I would punch you in the face. Kinda like I almost did to the lady who was doing my facial yesterday and told me I need Botox. More on that later.

I don't really do things. Does that sound bad? I could say I'll be a better blogger. But I probably won't. I haven't blogged in a week. Mainly because life happened and other things trumped my blogging. That's just how it goes.

So, I'll make 2 very generic and pretty easily achievable resolutions.

1. Blog at least 3 times/week UNLESS something else comes along that takes all of my attention away from blogging.  I have ADHD. So...most things will take my attention away from whatever I'm doing at the time.

Ok I'm back from doing the dishes.

2. Stop cussing as much. I'm not going to pinch myself or put money in a jar. Mostly because I rarely have cash. I just use it for emphasis. I watch my mouth around children and at church. I also didn't cuss at the lady yesterday when she said I needed Botox. I had to cover my mouth to stop myself from saying, "Biiiiiitch."

Had to make Nate Dawg's lunch before I finished this.

Top 2 Tuesday...Games!

1. Cranium.



My family started playing this a few years ago. Nate Dawg and I got our own when we got married. We played so much we pretty much memorized every answer.

We got all of our friends playing it. It caused many arguments between couples. All in good fun, of course.

One time, Nate Dawg and I were on a team and my bff Brandi and her bf (now husband) Steve were on a team. Steve cheated and Brandi told on him. So Brandi and I got on a team, Nate Dawg and Steve got on a team. Nate Dawg had a person clue and he was supposed to sing a song to describe the person. The person was Bob Dylan. So Nate waits and waits and can't think of a Bob Dylan song and time was running out. So he starts singing, "Ooonnneee headliiight". Steve says, "Wallflowers! Jakob Dylan! Bob Dylan!"

I was pissed. I don't know how they did it. We talked about this 2 weeks ago and it happened at least 4 years ago.

2. Words With Friends

It's sad how obsessed Nate Dawg and I are with this. We force people to play with us. ha We got it last year at Thanksgiving because Nate's little brother told us about it. We ended up playing with Nate brother, as well as his 3 cousins, during Thanksgiving dinner. Whoops. We didn't even speak, we just played each other in WWF. WWF is what super cool people call it. haha

Top 2 Tuesday-Christmas Ornaments!

I started this Tuesday. I'm finishing it Wednesday. So sue me.

All of our Christmas stuff is in storage. Again, sue me.

1. One of my kindergarten students got me an ornament that looks like this

I was so exctited when I got it. We were living in Texas and the little girl and her family were from Chicago. But they always talked football with me. I went right home and put it on our tree.

2. My new favorite Christmas ornament is from my friend Elizabeth. We talked about the "First Christmas" ornaments folks get when they get married. Nate Dawg and I did not get one. So she had a cutie one made for us and gave it to me right before we moved. This isn't our "First Christmas" ornament, but has some very lifelike pics of Nate Dawg, Me and Norman.

I am aware of my awesome photography skills.

Top 2 Cleaning and Organization tips or tricks!

1. Baskets. Instead of having anything loose in a drawer or cabinet, put it in a basket. Even if you are totally not organized, at least your place won't be a mess.

2. Clean up right after you make the mess. I know it's easier said than done. But, if you clean up right after you've made dinner, then you don't have to worry about waking up to a messy kitchen.

2 1/2. Clean your house before you go on a trip. I think it's very stressful to come home to a messy or dirty house. It is a pain to make sure it's all picked up and cleaned before you leave on a big trip, but it's so worth it when you get home.

Things you are thankful for.

1. I'm going to go all generic and say my husband.

He's super cute. He's super witty. And gosh darn it he makes my life so fun. I mean, he really is good times.

2. My fam. I wish I had a scanner at my dang house. I have a bunch of pics of my family, but they're not on my computer. My parents are the greatest example of how to live a good life, have fun, and be the best husband/wife ever. This February is my parents 35th anniversary. They rule.
Plus I have the best big brothers ever. They. Are. Awesome. We've always gotten along. I don't know how, but we have.

So those are my generic responses to what I'm thankful for.

1. Norman, my dog. My father-in-law promised he would get me a dog after Nate Dawg and I were married. Nate and I lived in a 650 square ft. apartment for the first 10 months of marriage (ugh). The weekend after we bought our first house my inlaws went to Shawnee, Oklahoma and picked out Normie! We were first thinking of naming him Boomer or Sooner or Stoops. Then we decided on Norman Bosworth. 10 cool points if you can tell me what those 2 names have in common.
 
If you are going to get a dog, get a goldendoodle. They are WONDERFUL. He is hypoallergenic, doesn't shed, has the personality of a golden retriever, build of a poodle. He's really lean. The vet called him an athlete. I raise my dog right.
 
2. Engagement ring from Nate Dawg. Who else would it be from? I like it because 1. it's pretty good size 2. it has these badace facets, so light bounces off of it really well. It's pretty entertaining on a long roadtrip. 3. Nate Dawg gave it to me. That should probably be #1.
 
I don't normally take pics of my ring, but as I was trying to take one Norman followed me. So I got my 2 favorite things in the same pic!

Top 2 Favorite Old Pictures
I forgot to scan some old pics earlier, so these from facebook will have to do.

1. Ok so this is more than 1 pic. But from the same time period. Brandi and I have been bff's since the beginning of time. Which is 1984. Actually, we probably became friends in 1989ish. We used to dress up as sluts whores bar maids. Or something like that.

 In this pic, I'm in the bottom right corner with my mouth full. Brandi is the back left sitting up. I need photo shop or something so I can draw cool arrows to point to people.  

 I just put this one in here because Brandi's mouth makes me laugh. We laughed at this pic for a while. We were both tooootally concentrating on stuff. I love my bff.

2.  These pics are of Norman the day after we got him.

He was such a widdle bitty baby! He was like 12 pounds.

I threw this one in bc Norman was in my hometown 4th of July parade. Shout out to Pawhuska, Oklahoma!

Top 2 Dream Kitchens

1. Ree Ree's kitchen. aka Pioneer Woman. When she started redoing the lodge, I got super excited because that was an amazing house anyway. Now that it's all been redone. I want it. Minus the cowboys and gravel road that it's on.

This is the bar area, off to the side of the kitchen. I've hit that. What?

The handy dandy fridge drawer. We used this lots when cooking stuff for Brandi's Shower, as well as our pastor's daughter's wedding.

I'm sure y'all have seen these, but these pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen is very user friendly, open, and just really cool looking.



2. I also really like this kitchen I saw in Southern Living. The lady is from Tulsa and I totally think we can be friends when Nate Dawg and I move there.
