Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

I'm participating in Miscellany Monday for the first time.

It's fall break. Have I mentioned that? I got bored yesterday and decided to make some of the best, easiest cookies ever. I got the recipe from Skinny Runner. If you don't know who she is, you should look into her. She is hilarious.

The recipe on her blog is:

Red Velvet cake mix

Add 1/3 cup oil

Add 2 eggs

Mix like your Sir Mixalot. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes.

Frost with cream cheese fristing:

1 package cream cheese

1/2 cup butter

1 teaspoon vanila

2 teaspons milk

4 cups powderd sugar

Beat it all up like your Chris Brown.

They are extra good with a cup of coffee in the mornin'.

Then I got bored and made Buffalo Chicken Dip. I've made this before, but found a recipe that was a little different on this blog, Pearls, Handcuffs, and Happy Hour. I didn't do the pockets like she did, I just got some chips and put it in the crock pot. I use the grazing method of eating.

It may look like a pile of vomit, but it is really, really good. I also added ranch even though the recipe doesn't call for it. But I throw ranch into everything. It's delicious. I don't care what my weird friend Mallory says.

I also cooked it in a crock pot. To sum everything up, I did not follow the recipe.

Also, has anyone ever used the silicone boob enhancers? Or whatever they're called. I found some Commando Takeouts. We have that wedding this Thursday and I want to add some ooomph to my chest area.
I plan on heading to the mall tomorrow and finding some. They're kind of expensive, but cheaper than plastic surgery.

Advice

Nate Dawg and I will be going to Louisville this weekend for his cousin's wedding. I've never been, so I need some advice. What should we do while we're there?

Nate Dawg was born in Louisville, but hasn't been back since he was like 2. All of his family will be there, but we'll have plenty of time for sight seeing. I want to do super touristy things.

Giveaway

Taylor at www.theundomesticmomma.com  is having a giveaway!

If you win, you are required to give me the giftcard. It's in her rule book. Somewhere towards the end. In tiny font.

I'm Feelin' Lucky

If I was a bettin' woman, I would put $100 on red.

At 3pm Friday, my 2 week fall break started. Yes, 2 whole weeks off. We started school at the end of July. Our schedule is 9 weeks on, 2 weeks off. When we start so early, I tend to rethink this schedule. Then when the 2 week break comes, I know it was all worth it! We get a 2 week Spring Break too. And we still get out at the end of May.
Best. Schedule. Ever.

When I walked into my Hip Hop class Saturday morning at the gym, this lady gave me a ticket. Apparently they were giving away door prizes. She called a number and some asian lady won something. Then they called another number and it was mine! I won a Starbucks gift card!

While I was getting my groove on in my Hip Hop class, I missed a call from the people that schedule showings at the house. I call them back after class, they tell me they want to schedule not 1, but 2 showings for Saturday afternoon!

OU beat Texas! 28-20. And we got lucky on quite a few plays. We tend to screw up in the 4th quarter and this game was no different. After we screwed up, Texas would screw up, so we were meant to win this game!!!

I am a lucky, lucky gal.

Adrian Peterson showed up. I love him. I would have his babies. Wait, what?

How cute is Bob's wife, Carol? She's the blonde. Super cute!

The One Who Wore the Yellow Dress

I have 13 followers. Hollaaaaa! Most of y'all I know personally, but there are like 4 that I don't. So that makes me excited!

For some reason, I feel the need to tell y'all a story. By the end of it, I may have 0 followers again. But I feel the need to tell this.

I was with Nate Dawg's family at his cousin's wedding in Springfield, MO. Nate Dawg and I had been married at least a year at the time. It was a nice wedding, everyone was having a great time. I was rockin this suuuper cute yellow dress. Anyway, the reception was nice because there was a sweet chocolate fountain and lots of wine. I started drinking lots of wine and the only thing I had to eat was some fruit covered in chocolate. I won't go into details, but I danced a lot on some stage with all of Nate Dawg's cousins and drank lots of wine. Did I mention I drank lots of wine? When we got back to the hotel, everyone was in the lobby, and I threw up on Nate Dawg's little brother Nick. Like all over his shirt. I think he was maybe 19 at the time. I'm sure one of his goals in life was to have his sister-in-law throw up on him in front of his entire family.

We were sharing a room with Nick and I woke up the next morning in a bed by myself in my thong and strapless bra. Classy. I thought Nick was in the other bed, so I said, "Nick! What happened? Where am I? Where's Nate?"

Then Nate looked at me over the covers, and I'm sure I looked all sorts of confused. I said, "Nate?! Why are you over there?" He said, "Because you threw up on yourself and my brother and I was afraid you would throw up on me."

I saw my dress on a chair, covered in vomit. Nice. Good one Morgan.

We had to get ready and go to b'fast with his fam. Nate Dawg's great uncle came over to me, did the sign of the cross, then laughed and said, "No one in this family can say anything about your actions because they've all been there themselves. Some of them have been there more than once." Then he said he'd pray for me and he left for Mass.

Since then, the person who acts a fool at any family gathering is given the title "The One Who Wore the Yellow Dress".

That pic is pre-vom.

The following Monday I went to the dry cleaners to drop off my dress. They knew who I was, so I just put the dress in a wad on the counter, told them someone threw up on me, then walked off. They cleaned it up real nice, but I haven't worn the yellow dress again. Literally or figuratively.

Top 2 Tuesday

Top 2 Favorite Songs

Not sure if that means favorite songs of the moment, or favorite songs EVER.

If we're talking favorite songs ever...then My Girl by Temptations would be #1.

My dad used to sing it to me, but he would say, "Morgan, Morgan, Morgan, talking bout...Mooooorgan, Morgan!" We danced to this song at my wedding. Very generic, except for when people are singing along with you, but changing the words from "my girl" to "Morgan". Love it.

#2 would probably be All You Need is Love by The Beatles.

This song is very uplifting.

So close, yet so far away....next songs would've probably been Hey Jude by The Beatles, The Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, Fishin in the Dark by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, You Don't Mess Around with Jim and Bad Bad Leroy Brown by Jim Croce, and She's Every Woman by Garth Brooks.

I love oldies.
